About Me

My Story

A natural intuitive since childhood, as a young girl I grew up in Dad’s large vegetable garden, blending flowers and leaves from different plants to feed my doll after holding my hands over her sore body. There was also play with the Spirit elements in the garden and at a later age engaging in automatic writing, such was my eagerness to commune with Spirit.

All my life, I’ve held a keen interest in the healing arts, intuitively drawn by the ability for self-healing. My real journey into natural healing began when I had children. The shock of responsibility for their health sparked my consciousness and wouldn’t let go. In my mid-20s, I completed Diplomas and Certifications in Herbalism, Aromatherapy, Yoga and Naturopathy (Natural Therapies), soaking up the knowledge like a sponge. For me, it felt more like a ‘remembering’ than learning something new – remembering the ancestral knowledge running in my veins.

I began teaching yoga and meditation in my late 20s, mainly to enjoy the company of like-minded people and to relax for a couple of hours away from the routine of family life. My spiritual life was nourished with pranayama and meditation techniques from the yoga traditions. It was during this time I experienced the crucial connection of spiritual health being a precursor to my physical, mental and emotional health.

I stopped teaching yoga classes when most of them went online during the covid lockdown era. I now offer small group healings to include sound therapy, visualisation, yoga nidra and meditation sprinkled with pranayama at my home studio. My love of research and learning sees me continually upskilling with independent studies of interest.

My offerings have evolved over the years. A few years ago, after putting up with low back pain after every massage, I had to hang up my masseuse hat, put away the oils and towels, and I asked to be shown, “What’s next, what do you want me to do?” That evening, browsing Amazon for a new book to read, I came across Eileen McKusick’s Tuning the Human Biofield and haven’t looked back since, gaining certification as a Biofield Tuning Practitioner. My services are intuitively guided and mainly consist of sound therapy, breath work, meditative and wellness techniques for you to absorb into your heart and make part of your ongoing self-care.

My studio is private, with a calming view of the sparkling turquoise Akaroa harbour with free parking on the street. If you’re unable to travel and would still like to experience a treatment, distant sessions are available. With both international and New Zealand clients, the effects of a distance session may be felt immediately, regardless of time zones.

WHEN I’M NOT SEEING CLIENTS

I enjoy travelling, especially to warm climates by the sea and love how waking up somewhere new offers fresh inspirations. Most of my poetry gets written while on holiday. I also love studying and often synchronise travel with on-going trainings. Being a bit of a wordsmith, I’m writing my first book, a memoir, on how I discovered my true calling and purpose in life. Most of all, I love spending time with my beautiful family.
